You know, Greece is not tzatziki, souvlaki, syrtaki, Mykonos and Athens. Greece has many more things and places. But if you come here with a travel agency you will probably see only “things made for foreign tourists”.

I don’t like this. If I was you, I will search Greece alone, but I know that this is difficult for many people.

Tourism has change Greece. In many places the shops, hotels and restaurants work with the touristic way. They cook foods for tourists. I remember I talk with a friend who work as chef in a Greek restaurant in Germany. She said to me that she can’t cook real greek foods. She cook greek foods with german way. I know the feeling and this strange taste. And I don’t like it.

If I travel in a foreign country, I want to see and eat the things which people of this country used to see or eat. I don’t want the “touristic way”.

I think is better for you, if search places where greek tourists eat or go. You can talk with greek tourists and ask them if they know a good place to go. Don’t afraid. Greeks are friendly and hospitable people.
