Kavourotrypes beach is a famous beach which is located in second leg of Chalkidiki. It’s famous in North Greece because of the free camp and the nudism area. You can find this beach near the Sarti village.

The truth is that the free camp is illegal but for many years people make camping there, particularly the youngs. It has many small beaches and you can find crowds of people there in summer weekends. If you are nudist a part of beach, eastern, is for you.

The sea has very clean water, but this is not extraordinary because you can find clean sea water everywhere in Chalkidiki’s legs. It’s not my favorite beach in Chalkidiki because you must walk on rocks to go there and I don’t like the crowds when I swim, but this is just my opinion as you understand because many people loved Kavourotrypes beach.

Kavourotrypes in Greek it means crab holes. I don’t know if you can find crabs there maybe the name has relation with the shape of small beaches.

If you have a vehicle and drive, don’t search for plate (sign) with the name “kavourotrypes” in the road, you will not find anywhere. It’s better to ask informations from the local people.
