Cyclades, the white greek islands
Cyclades are a group of 147 islands in Aegean but only 24 of these greek islands are inhabited today. The most famous islands of Cyclades worldwide are Mykonos and Santorini but the other 22 islands are also amazing and they are the most popular holiday destinations in Greece.

The islands of Cyclades are near each other and you can visit many of them easily, don’t stay only in one island.
The Greek islands are many and it’s also difficult for us (Greeks) to visit them all in our life. So we make a plan and we go in 2-3 islands every summer.

But let’s see these beautiful islands first. We already start with Mykonos and Santorini (also known as Thira) so let’s continue with others: Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Dilos, Donousa, Folegandros, Ios, Iraklia, Kea, Keros, Kimolos, Kythnos, Mylos, Naxos, Paros, Antiparos, Schoinousa, Serifos, Sifnos, Sikinos, Syros, Thirasia, Tinos and some other smaller islands.
How you can go to Cyclades
You can go to Cyclades with boats and planes but you must remember that we have more boats and planes in summer and less in winter.
This moment we have flights from International Airport of Athens to Airports of Syros, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Milos and Santorini. The flights will be more after March.
Also, every summer many private charters flights and cruise ships go to Cyclades islands.
Many island hoppers choose Paros as their favourite. It has the right mix of facilities and a real Greek experience.

Hi Michael Shepherd!. Yes Paros is a beautiful island. The combination of Paros and Naxos is very good for summer holidays
For a very different experience, try Folegandros. Out of the way and therefore not laden with tourists. Fantastic Kastro and good tourist facilities. It is small and many hotels don’t open unil mid april or later.
