Hymn to Liberty – the Greek anthem
I feel that I must write some important posts like this one. Maybe not for you, but for me. I live in a country who has for moto the phrase “Ελευθερία ή θάνατος” which means “Freedom or Death”.

The “Hymn to Liberty” is a poem written by Dionysios Solomos in 1823. The fisrt two strophes became the national anthem of Greece and later the national anthem of Cyprus also. The music of anthem is written by Nikolaos Mantzaros in 1865.
