International Airport of Athens
The International Airport of Athens is the biggest and newest airport in Greece. The airport has the name of “Eleftherios Venizelos” who was one famous politician and Prime Minister of Greece.
Many people said that is one of the best airports in Europe and maybe they are right because it cost a lot of money. The airport opened in 2001 and located in the area of Spata.
You can go to airport with car, bus or taxi via the Attiki Odos toll highway or by rail with Athens Metro.
The Taxi is expensive and it’s not so good selection if you are not 3-4 people because it cost 30-40 Euro from Athens centre. If you take Taxi you must be careful because taxi drivers are not so good people some times. If they ask you to pay many euros call a policeman (the phone number is 100).
The better option is the rail because the ticket costs only 6 Euro but if you need something cheaper you can take the bus.
