You must know what to wear if you want to go inside and see these places because they have dress code. Maybe it’s better to tell you what you can’t wear.

So, you can’t wear your swimsuit or hot shorts. Your clothes must be acceptable and not eccentric or sexy.

If you are a woman and want to see some Monasteries you can’t wear trousers or jeans, you must wear skirt.

If you wear trousers or hot skirts probably they will give you a long skirt to wear outside of your clothes at the entrance of Monastery. And don’t think that those longs skirts are beautiful clean or trendy, usually they are ugly and they are used by many other women before you.
So as you can understand it’s better for you if you wear your beautiful clean long skirt.

If your blouse top or shell are “hot” they will probably give you a t-shirt or chemise also. You need a blouse or shirt suitable to visit the churches or monasteries.

If you are man you can’t wear skirts, you need trousers (I am not sure if they have trousers for men in the entrance of Monasteries).

Monasterial tourism had many funs in Greece so many Monasteries used to accept visitors or groups all the time.
